Chengfu is on the upper part of the femur at the midpoint of the gluteo-femoral crease, its function is to enable the lower limbs to sustain the body weight.

Location:

On the posterior side of the thigh, at the midpoint of the inferior gluteal crease.
OR,
In the center of the transverse gluteal crease in a depression between the hamstring muscles.

Functions:

  • Relaxes sinew and invigorated the channel.
  • Treats hemorrhoids.

Indications:

Pain in the lower back and gluteal region, constipation, muscular atrophy, pain, numbness and motor impairment of lower extremities.

Method:

Perpendicular insertion 1 to 2 cun.

Remarks:

  • Good for hemorrhoids.
  • Good point for sciatica, paralysis of limbs.
