1.5 cun lateral to the lower border of the spinous process of the 9th thoracic vertebra.
Functions of Ganshu:
- Benefits liver and Gall bladder.
- Cools damp heat.
- Moves stagnation Qi.
- Benefits the eyes.
Indication:
- Main point for hepatic diseases, such as jaundice, hypochondriac pain; 2. Red eyes, blurred vision, night blindness;
- Hematemesis, epistaxis.
- Dizziness, depression and psychosis, mania, epilepsy.
Method:
Puncture obliquely 0.5-1 cun.
Remark:
Back-Shu Point of the Liver.
Precautions:
Deep perpendicular or needling in a wrong direction carries a substantial risk of causing a pneumothorax.
