Guanyuanshu is opposite to Guanyuan (CV4), where the stored Qi of primary Yin and Yang is infused into the back.

Location:
1.5 cun lateral to the Governor meridian, at the level of the lower border of the spinous process of the fifth lumbar vertebra.
Functions of Guanyuanshu:
- Regulates lower burner.
- Strengthens lower back and knee.
- Transforms damp stagnation.
Indications:
- Reproductive diosrders:irregular menstruation, dysmenorrhoea,.
- Urinary disorders: Burning micturition, frequent urination, difficulty urinating.
- Gastrointestinal disorders: Diarrhoea, constipation, hemorrhoids, abdominal masses.
- Local disorders: Low back pain, buttock pain, sciatica, sacral pain, Bi leg syndrome.
Method:
Perpendicular insertion 1 to 1.5 cun.
Remarks:
Good for low back problems and disc problems.
