This point lies midway between the anus and the scrotum in male, and the anus and the posterior labial commissure in female.
Functions:
- Nourishes Yin ( Kidney Yin, KI Essence).
- Regulates Conception and governor vessels.
- Dispels Damp Heat.
Indications of Huiyin:
- Urinary problems: Urinary Incontinence,
- Reproductive problems:Vaginitis, Irregular menstruation.
- Others: Mental Disorders, Hemorrhoids.
- Emperical point to revieve patients after drowning.
Method:
Insert perpendicularly 0.5 to 1 cun.
Remark:
- Meeting point of the RN (Conception), Chong (Penetrating) and DU (Governing) vessels.
- Sun Si-miao Ghost point.
Precaution:
- According to the Great Compendium of Acupuncture and Moxibustion, this point is contraindicated to needling.
- Donot needle in pregnancy.
