Jiao: crossing Xin: belief
Xin is one of the five-moralities (benevolence, loyalty, courtsey, intelligence and belief), pertaining to earth and thus referring to the spleen. The Qi of the meridian is crossed by the spleen meridian at this point.

Location:
On the medial aspect of the lower leg, 2 cun superior to Taixi (KI3) and 0.5 cun anterior to Fuliu (KI7), posterior to the medial border of the tibia.
Functions:
- Tonify th kidney.
- Regulates Governor and Conception Vessels.
- Transforms damp heat in lower jiao.
- Regulate urine and bowel.
- Moves Qi and blood.
Indications:
- Menstrual disorders: irregular menstruation, dysmenorrhea, amenorrhea and especially for dysfunctional uterine bleeding, uterine prolapse.
- Urinary disorders: dysuria, urinary retention.
- Gastrointestinal disorders: Diarrhoea, Constipation.
- Reproductive disorders: Pain and swelling of testes, Itching in genitals.
- Local disorders: pain and stiffness in lower back.
Method:
Perpendicular insertion 0.5 to 1 cun.
