Pericardium Channel of Hand- An Intoduction
Pericardium Channel of Hand Jueyin 手厥阴心包经
Pericardium Channel of Hand starts from the chest, and enters its pertaining organ, the pericardium. It descends through the diaphragm to connect successively with the upper, middle and lower energizer. A branch arising from the chest runs inside the chest, comes out from the costal region below the axilla and ascends to the axilla. Following the medial aspect of the upper arm, it runs between the Lung channel and Heart channel to the cublital fossa, further downward to the forearm between the tendons of m.palmaris longus and m.flexor carpi radiadis, enters the palm, then passes along the middle finger right down to its tip. Another branch arising from the palm, Lao Gong ( PC 8) and runs along the ring finger to its tip, where it connects with the Triple Energizer Channel of Hand-Shaoyang.
Indications: Heart, chest and gastric disease, mental illness and the conditions along the pathway of the channel.

In the middle of the palm, between the 2nd and 3rd metacarpal bones, in the depression on the radial side of the 3rd metacarpal bone. When the fist is made, the point is just below the tip of the middle finger. | |
