Location:
On the sacrum, at the midpoint between the posterior superior iliac spine and the posterior midline, just at the first posterior sacral foramen.
Functions of shangliao:
- Regulates lower burner.
- Strengthens the lower back and legs.
- Strengthens blood and essence.
Indications:
- Impotence, infertility, sterility, difficulty in urination, leucorrhoea, uterine prolapse.
- Pain in the lumbar and sacral region, sciatica.
Method:
Puncture perpendicularly 1-1.5 cun.
Remarks:
- Action on bladder.
- One of the point of Baliao.
Precautions:
No needling during pregnancy.
