Anterior to the fifth metatarsophalangeal joint, at the junction of the red and white skin.
Functions:
- Dispels wind, clears heat.
- Calms the spirit.
Indications of Tonggu:
- Headache, neck rigidity, blurring of vision, epistaxis, mania.
- Dampness, urinary difficulty, painful urination, burning micturation, dark and scanty urine.
Method:
Perpendicular- oblique insertion towards the sole 0.2 to 0.3 cun.
