Location:
1 cun directly above the midpoint of the anterior hairline and 1.5 cun lateral to the midline.
Functions of wuchu:
- Dispels wind and clears heat.
- Opens the channel and the luo vessels.
- Opens the orifices (especially the eyes) and revives consciousness.
- Sedates liver yang.
Indications:
Headache, blurring of vision, epilepsy, convulsion.
Method:
Transverse insertion 0.5 to 1 cun.
Remarks:
Has similar indication as of BL4.
