Nomenclature:
Xia: to press from both sides Bai:white
In term Xiabai, Xia refers to lung.So this point is located on the both sides of lungs , when both arms are hanging freely.
Location:
This point is located 4 cun inferior to the axillary fold and 5 cum superior to LU 5 (Chize ) , in the depression between the lateral border of the biceps brachii muscle and the shaft of the humerus.
Method
Puncture perpendicularly 0.5-1 cun.
Indication
Respiratory disorder: cough , asthma, shortness of breathe
Chest disorder: Heart pain, Palpitations
Local disorder: shoulder pain, arm pain, stiffness
