Yin here means “interior”. Bao refers to the uterus. Yinbao is at the medial aspect of the thigh and is indicated in treating diseases of the uterus.

- Removes stagnant Liver Qi so is beneficial in reproductive disorders like irregular menstruation, excessive bleeding, painful menstruation, urinary system disorders, back pain.
- Local disorders: lower limb pain, hemiplegia.
Method:
Perpendicular or oblique insertion 1-2 cun.
