Huizong is a xi-cleft point of this meridian, where the Qi of the meridian gathers.

Name: Huizong
English Name/Meaning: Ancestral Meeting
Pinyin: huì zōng
Han Geul 한글: hui jung 회종

Vietnamese: Hội tông

Location:

At the level of Zhigou (SJ6), on the ulnar side of zhigou (SJ6), on the radial border of the ulna.

Functions:

  • Removes obstructionf rom channel (reduce local pain).
  • Benefits ears.
  • Stops pain.

Indications of huizong:

  • Ear problems: tinnitus, deafness, blockage of ears, ear ache.
  • Epilepsy.
  • Local disorders: pain in finger, arm, elbow, shoulder, upper back problems (pain, numbness, tingling, tremors, movement limited ).

Method:

Slightly oblique insertion towards the ulnar side or oblique proximal or distal insertion towards the elbow or wrist respectively, 0.5 to 1.5 cun.

Remarks:

  • Xi-cleft point.
  • Acupuncture anesthesia for chest surgery.
