Location:

4 cun above the umbilicus, 0.5 cun lateral to Zhongwan (Ren 12).

Functions:

  • Strengthens the middle jiao, regulates stomach and intestine.
  • Clears blockage in intestine, uterine area.

Indications of yindu:

  • Vomiting, abdominal pain, Constipation.
  • Postpartum abdominal pain, infertility.

Method:

Perpendicular insertion 1 to 1.5 cun.

Remarks:

Meeting point of Kidney and chong vessel.

Precautions:

Deep needling may penetrate the peritoneal cavity.
