Location:
On the line connecting the anterior superior iliac spine and lower lateral border of the patella, 2 cun above the upper lateral border of the patella.
Functions and Indications of Liangqiu:
- This is Xi-cleft point so is used for acute pain, swelling along the channel, acute gastric pain.
- ST channel passes through the breast and nipple: ST 34 is indicated for acute disorders such as breast pain and breast abscess
- Local problems – Ashi points, leg paralysis, muscle atrophy, swelling and pain of the knee joint, paralysis or weakness of the lower extremities.
Method:
Puncture perpendicularly 0.5-0.8cun.
