Zu: lower limbs San: three Li: taken as cun in ancient times
Zusanli is on the leg, 3 cun below the knee.

Location:

3 cun below Dubi, one finger width lateral to the anterior crest of the tibia.

Method:

Perpendicularly 1-1.5cun.

Indication:

  • Zusanli is main point for the gastro-intestinal diseases, such as stomach pain, vomiting, abdominal pain annd distension, diarrhea, dysentery, constipation, intestinal abscess.
  • Palpitation, shortness of breath.
  • Consumptive disease. Main point for strengthening the body’s resistance and restoring vital energy.
  • Main point for paralysis of the lower extremities.
  • Psychosis and epilepsy.

Remarks:

He-Sea Point. Main point for strengening the body and initating hygiene.
